The town of Siena, although it cannot boast Florence's extensive art collections, is in many ways a better
sightseeing visit. The old town centre is completely pedestrianized and wandering along its windy alleyways
and streets is a pleasure in itself. Visit the main piazza where they hold the famous Palio horse-race and
immerse yourself in the atmosphere. The cathedral is magnificent and remember, as you enter it, that the
winning horse of the Palio is taken in there after one of the two annual races for thanksgiving!
